Wes Bayliss is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose voice carries the weight of the South and the conviction of faith. Raised in Woodland, Alabama, he grew up surrounded by family harmonies, gospel music, and long church nights that shaped both his sound and his spirit.
As the frontman of The Steel Woods, Bayliss helped build one of modern Southern rock’s most loyal followings, blending grit, soul, and storytelling across four acclaimed albums and hundreds of shows nationwide. Now stepping into his solo chapter, he returns to the foundation that first called him: unapologetically biblical truth.
His early solo releases, including “Product of Grace,” “The Mustang,” and the recent single “Dig In,” reflect a life built on Scripture and lived with conviction. These songs are raw, reflective, and rooted in the Word of God, offering testimony rather than trend and substance over spectacle. Every lyric and performance is anchored in faith, pointing listeners toward hope, perseverance, and grace.
Bayliss is currently writing and recording his debut full-length solo album, slated for release in Spring 2026.
